zin-zin-zinOpening Song: “I Am Here & You Are Here” by Peter & Ellen Allard (on Sing It! Say It! Stamp It! Sway It! Vol. 3)

Mystery Bag objects: Velcro, vest, vase

Story: Zin! Zin! Zin! A Violin by Lloyd Moss (violin).  We actually listened to the Book on CD version because it had all of the instruments playing.  I’ve never tried this before, and it did not really hold their attention except when the music was playing.

erupting-volcanoSong: “Victor Vito” on Victor Vito, by Laurie Berkner.  We did this with shakers.  Very fun!  There is a book version as well, but another staff member tried it earlier in the week and said that it didn’t work well for her, so I just used the song.

We used the rest of the time doing a demonstration baking soda and vinegar volcano.  This took way longer than I thought it would, but it was awesome!  Most of the kids had never done this before and were very excited about the idea of trying it at home.

Closing Song: “See Ya Later”
